Do you know that Ukrainians celebrate New Year twice?

It may sound like crazy, but Ukrainians celebrate the New Year twice! Really! It’s not an official day-off, but many people take the celebration of the Old New Year at night on January, 13 rather seriously!

What is the origin of the holiday? According to the old, Julian calendar, it’s December 31, which means that the Old New Year is the actual New Year — just old style. But never mind, the most important for people here is joy and fun.

Since all religious holidays were banned in the Soviet Union, the only big-deal winter holiday that Ukrainians had left was the New Year’s. But Ukrainians love holidays too much to give up a day of celebration! To compensate for the loss of Christmas, we started to celebrate the Old New Year.

We think all this stuff is very cute, do you agree? Have more fun in your life with UaDreams!

Charity event on New Year's Eve in Poltava

Last December was special for Poltava branch, as we had a chance to bring happiness and joy to kids from Poltava regional center of social protection "Lubistok".

We had a little entertaining program for them already prepared, so just after entering the hall they appeared in the magic workshop where they were proposed to create a symbol of the year 2015 – a wonderful charming Mr Sheep.

It was so cute to watch their little fingers working with cotton and glue.

Just after having our Mr Sheep done, we all were invited for a tea ceremony with cookies, candies and a wonderful story about Samovar that was a kind of traditional teapot in old times. Children were listening with a big interest! Not so many people pay attention to these small kids in their life...

Tea time finished, but our program did not, and we presented air bubbles show to children. Children were impressed, and we as well, by the way :)

We noticed one very interesting thing: making charity you get much more than give, that’s probably a kind of a rule. All our team smiled a lot, felt warmth and happiness. We not only watched the show, but also helped and assisted during the whole evening.

trip to Poltava

Hi, my name is Wayne, I am from Sydney, Australia. Before coming here I was skeptical and I had a plenty of skeptics behind me. I love traveling and I have seen many places in Ukraine, unfortunately I have never been abroad yet, but I definitely hope to see some parts of this wonderful world together with my beloved.

I dream to meet a man who will prove me that there is eternal love in this world, I see myself together with a kind, respectful, goal-oriented man, who will have a nice sense of humor, who will have a strong will, who will be loyal and committed. As I am a one man woman, and I hope to be together with a man, who would share the same life values as I do. I believe that relations are a team-work, I want to devote myself to one and only, and to be his everything.. The Christians paint eggs making various complex ornaments on them. Such an egg is called "pysanka".

One of our customers Wes from the USA told us about his wish to help children from Kharkiv orphanage. Per his request, our employees enquired what this orphanage needs most of all. They found out that vacuum cleaners are really needed to keep the rooms clean. Than Wes presented two vacuum cleaners to this orphanage. The children and the employees of the orphanage are so grateful to him.

It is our company's duty to give a portion of our profit in order to help the residents of the children's home and provide them with the most necessary things. We have already replaced windows, bought household appliances and medical equipment, furniture, clothes, baby food and diapers, and organized funny holidays for children.

What do our students study? What colour are their hair and eyes?

Lovely students on UaDreams seem to be so carefree but if only you knew how much they manage to do every day!

Our girls not only expend efforts to be successful in their studies. Many of them also have jobs which take much time! At the same time the ladies get ready for their future family life, so they learn to cook tasty dishes and always keep their houses clean. Finally they engage in sports to be always fit and seducing. That's why it will be really great if you pamper your beloved studenton September, 17 with something she likes very much...

To say the truth I have a lot of free time even when I work. It happens when you love what you do. I work as Administrator at Restaurant. My schedule is very comfortable - I start to work at 11 or 12 till evening. So late in the evening I have enough time for my private life. As I have no beloved by my side I work till late or spend evenings with my family. But wish soon my life change :) On weekends I adore spending time with my friends. Sometimes we go to Odessa. Sometimes to Kherson. I like communication with interesting people, to have fun together. I also like dancing. I am fond of pole dance. Also I attend gym. It is also great to watch movie in the cinema. But I am easy going so I am always open for something new! And I am sure this feature will help me to find more common interests with my beloved.

Leasure time is for pleasure :) I do everything that makes me and my close people feel good! I cook tasty cakes, bake biscuits, do shopping, visit my close friends and relatives, go out to have dinner with my parents, go to the gym. Sometime I just stay in bed and relax and watch an interesting film. Summer gives me an opportunity to go to the riverside, visit my grandmother in the countryside, enjoy the sun and make parties at my home :) Winter is also full of activities :) Playing snowballs, making snowman, decorating him, eating tangerines and waiting for Santa Clause and his reindeer :) Have you been a good boy this year? When I went to Kremenchuk in October 2013 it was my first time there the 3 days I spent there was very nice, but after the three days I left sudden and I always knew I will return one day. Now two years to the day I am back in Kremenchuk to meet a wonderful lady.

At first I was very nervous going to the office but when I saw her and she spoke to me she made me feel a lot better. The translator was good at her job and the branch was very clean, bright and friendly staff. We met twice already and we got along very well I will be seeing her again when she has some free time. When my time comes to the end in Kremenchuk I will be hoping to return around February 2016 to see her again.

At first I was unsure returning to Ukraine, but to find a lady you really like it takes time, it will not happen overnight you have to work at it. The agency is just there to guide you.
